Ace Black

Alright, so I've been slacking on news. Too caught up in writing and artsing. And Heroes. Heroes comes back today, BTW. Everybody had better watch.

So, anyway... how'd everybody like the new character? I only really thought of Ace as an afterthought one day, actually drawing him for somebody else out of boredom. Then I looked at him, and thought... "Screw that, I'm keeping him." After that, I couldn't think of a name, so I found a name generator. The name I found was damn spooky: "Ace Spade."

I thought it was TOO perfect, so I changed his name to Ace Black, and let him go by the moniker "Ace of Spades."

I like him. I really do. I had fun writing him, I have fun drawing him (except for the hair, that can be a pain sometimes), and I liked him so much, that if I ever do a "sequel" of sorts, he'll be the primary character. I'm thinking an X-Files type of thing, partnering him up with a woman who can read minds and going after... well, I would say monsters, but Death said there are none. And while he has had moments of falsification, I kinda want that one to be true (to an extent).

It'd be fun, though. But, of course, we're not even halfway through the series yet (two more Scenes 'til we reach the halfway mark).

Anyway, that's Ace. I don't think I wanna keep drawing his amulet, so I might change it. In case you haven't noticed, it's not technically supposed to be the Star of David - I should have probably drawn a circle around it, because I mean for it to be the Seal of Solomon. There are, presumably, inscriptions around it warding off evil. Sadly, I was not making an "Ethnically Diverse" decision with Ace. He's not Jewish (actually, he's an Atheist), he's just really into mysticism.
